The right lighting can go a long way in bringing any room to life, and in our latest design challenge with Mitzi, we challenged Spoak members to design an organic modern space using at least 2 pieces from the new Tali Roth collection. Our design challenge winner, Katie Carpenter, nailed the design by incorporating beautiful lighting selections into a modern bathroom design plan.

I've worked in the film industry for about nine years as a wardrobe stylist and costume designer. I still enjoy styling clothes, but it was a natural transition to interiors. I've designed projects in my last two houses, and some friends and family mentioned that they loved my work and would hire me. So I followed through on that promise! I love a good DIY project and enjoy learning as much as possible about each element. I'm very hands-on and eager to teach clients simple tips, tricks, and skills to make their spaces represent them and the message they wish to share with the world. My overall approach is "styling for the soul."
I love to take a walk in a new neighborhood and peek at all the houses along the way. There are so many stories to tell, and I love how unique every home can be. I've also been inspired by travel because I found it reframes my perspective on color, texture, and function.
Taking a trip to nature will do the trick, even if it's just for an hour. I also love trying new restaurants with unique food and cocktails.
I love the vibrant energy from Justina Blakeney. Her spaces are bold, and I'm a sucker for patterns. I can feel that her rooms have a soul, which I love and am inspired by!
I live in Atlanta, and Two Urban Licks' 'Clermont Cooler' cocktail was what summer dreams are made of. As for TV shows, I'm still stuck on Hulu's 'Nine Perfect Strangers.' It was a tropical oasis with incredible acting and cinematography.
