Interior Designer Spotlight: Jenna Brody

The design challenge prompt was to style a tablescape for a spring equinox themed dinner party with at least 5 items from Year & Day.

The winning Vizi was designed by Spoak member Jenna Brody—and by looking at her Vizi above, you can probably tell why she won! We had a chance to chat with Jenna and hear more about her design journey and inspiration for this Vizi.

Tell us about yourself and your current design journey.

Hello! My name is Jenna Brody. I’ve owned a small home staging business in the Greater Seattle area for the last six years but have recently started to explore new avenues of styling and interior design. I stumbled upon Spoak and really haven’t been able to tear myself away. What I love the most about digital design is that it provides an opportunity for anyone to upgrade or change their home, regardless of their personal style and budget.

What was your vision for this vizi?

When designing rooms on Spoak I try to create natural spaces that you can visualize yourself LIVING in and enjoying! Usually, I start with a larger statement piece I know I definitely want to use, whether it be a rug or sofa. I knew I wanted this table to feel like you could sit down with your people and enjoy good food and drink in a farm-to-table setting. And I knew I wanted to pull in the white and gold from Year & Day. I love naturals and neutrals, so the aesthetics really came down to my own personal vibe.

How did Spoak’s tools help your vision come to life?

Spoak has really allowed me to elevate my creativity with their Viz tool. Because I rent larger furniture for staging jobs, I’m slightly limited to style. With Viz there are no limitations and I feel like I have unleashed my inner interior designer. It’s been so fun to be creative without limitations. Although sometimes I have to be careful because I get sucked into the Viz vortex and forget that my kitchen sink is full of dishes!

What are you going to do with your winning prize of $500 to Year & Day?

I haven’t quite decided what exactly I’ll be getting from Year & Day yet, but summer is right around the corner! We live in the PNW and eat in our backyard as much as we can when the weather is nice. Maybe a new serving platter for all those artichokes!
