Every creative endeavor starts with inspiration, and mood boards are one of the best ways to visualize the direction of your project when designing your own home, planning an event, or even revamping your wardrobe.
If you're stuck in the scrolling-through Pinterest phase of your project, making your own mood board is a great way to take the next step toward bringing your vision to life. If you're looking for a bit of inspiration, scroll through this post to see a roundup of seven mood boards that stopped us in our tracks.
This mood board by designer Alyssa Pearson is giving us all the blues (in a good way,) and we love how it feels nostalgic and fresh. That cobalt blue hue is popping up everywhere in design right now, and we can't say we're mad about it.
Not that you need an excuse to make a mood board, but throwing a dinner party is a pretty good one. This vibrant Vizi designed by Spoak member Lindsay Jones is equal parts funky and fun, and it makes us want to call all of our friends and make a themed party plan ASAP.

We love this playful and sophisticated mood board made by member Brittany Zenner, and we can't help but feel the urge to travel somewhere coastal and European when looking at it. Is it just us, or does something about the pairing of vintage Cartier and cake just feel right?
Who says it has to be February to be inspired by red heart motifs and roses? This mood board by Spoak member Lorie Elrod is giving Queen of Hearts meets cool french girl, inspiring us to incorporate a little more boldness into our creative projects year-round.
Whether or not you identify with the cottage core aesthetic, you have to admit that this mood board designed by Mady Schreifels is dreamy. Looking at this feels like an eternal summer and makes us want to pick some fresh fruit for a picnic at the park.
We love this mood board by Spoak member Virginia Ibarra and its moody chic vibe. The color palette here feels earthy and bold, which can be hard to pull off but always worthwhile.
Pink and green are a great color pairing, especially when it looks like this 80’s inspired mood board created by designer Taylor Winter. We love the blue accents and mix of patterns she incorporated here and can only imagine how cool a space created from this inspiration would be.
