A settee is a long, upholstered seat similar to a bench or sofa. It’s suited for more than one person (sometimes up to three) and typically has a back and arms. Settees are often associated with loveseats, and although they are similar, loveseats are smaller and only built for two.

Due to their normally shallow seat depth, settees are commonly found in hallways, entryways, and bedrooms, or paired with larger sectional sofas or accent chairs in a lounge or living area.
